Dr. Lt. Col. Sir Ziauddin Ahmed - a man of vision

Dr. Sir Ziauddin Ahmed (1877 - 1947) was an outstanding and versatile educationist and political figure, he was also the longest serving Vice-Chancellor in the history of Aligarh Muslim University. His close association with Sir Syed Ahmed Khan added to his stature and dignity. He had a dream to establish a medical college at Aligarh Muslim University which was not realised in his life time. This dream of his came true with the establishment of Ziauddin Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. Ziauddin University is proud to announce their International Partnership with California Miramar University (www.calmu.edu) of San Diego, California, U.S.A. This Partnership brings the very first fully Accredited American Degree Programs to Pakistan. CMU specializes in degree programs in Business Administration with areas of emphasis in Health Care Administration, General Business and Telecommunications Management. The faculty will be comprised mostly of American Professors and the degree that is earned will be an American degree. California Miramar University will also bring their association with the American Academy of Arts (www.aaarts.com) whose expertise is in Digital Media and Film, to Ziauddin University's Media program. The American Academy of Arts brings Hollywood professionals into the classroom teaching students professional techniques and skill sets in Digital Film and Media. The American Academy will assist Ziauddin University in launching and operating their Broadcast and Cable Television Station and their FM Radio Station and in the University's new Media program.
